My Healing Testimony by Bonita M.W. Shelby, CCA of DiVine Health Choices

Attempting to survive breast cancer can be an arduous challenge that overwhelms the mind, body, and spirit. Sometimes in the midst of the chaos, an unexpected event happens or someone says something or extends an act of kindness that provides a much-needed respite from the day-to-day struggles to survive.

However, during adversity some survivors often have to look within themselves to find the courage to beat the odds . Do you have a story to share about a profound courageous moment you’ve experienced? If so, share your story to with LAC and we may share it with the world! We will select one “Courage in the Face of Adversity” story per month, and if we select your story, we will send you a free LAC t-shirt.

The submission requirements include:

  • Providing current contact information.

  • Specifying your t-shirt size.

  • Submit a photo—don’t be shy—remember, “beauty is skin deep” to

lateacha@life-after-cancer.org

  • Writing and submitting a brief story of 400 words or less, describing your “Courage in the Face of Adversity” moment using our submission form.
