Countless survivors are currently undergoing or have already undergone cancer treatments and surgeries. While it is a given that these events alone are difficult enough to endure, add hair loss, weight loss/gain, loss of one or both breasts, etc. to the equation, and most often, the end results are feelings of insecurity, unattractiveness, and utter despair.

We at LAC happen to believe in the old adage that “Inner beauty is skin deep.” In keeping with this adage, we are sensitive to the varying ranges of emotions that survivors experience. Committed to enhancing the self-esteem of survivors, we take great care to redirect focus away from the outer self and instead draw on the collective concepts of celebrating life and embracing inner beauty. LAC also places emphasis on the importance of healthier lifestyles including proper diet and nutrition.

LAC is embarking on Reach Out! Uplift! Tours, these multi-city tours will be designed to achieve the following results below:

• Reach out and uplift breast cancer survivors of all ages and in various stages of treatment.

• Empathize and connect with them in an effort to ultimately dismantle barriers that preclude them from embracing life.

• Raise funds to assist survivors and donate money towards continued cancer research.
